Salt and Minerals

When detoxifying, there is ongoing flushing of fluids and toxins from the body. The fluids serve several purposes, including diluting the toxins so their elimination is not quite as harsh as might otherwise be the case. It is important to restore minerals, especially boron, calcium, iodine, and magnesium, but rather than taking a supplement, one can sometimes get a natural combination of minerals from salt, especially black salt and rock salt. Some plant foods and herbs are also good sources of minerals, especially nuts. Shilajit is also an excellent source of a wide variety of minerals.
