Description
Coriander is used in many cuisines from around the world. It promotes digestion without aggravating the piita dosha. It is cooling and aids both the liver and kidneys. It is also one the favored herbs during menopause when hot flashes are a well known and unwelcome symptom of the change of life. It can be used whole or ground and is suitable for cooking, use in tea, and planting in the garden. There it will give rise to the famed cilantro leaf that is used for chelating heavy metals. Please see our recipes for use of cilantro in place of basil to make pesto.
