Description
Red clover is one of the most popular sources of phytoestrogens. The flowering tops contain isoflavones (mostly genistein and daidzein) which attach to estrogen receptors and block both naturally produced estrogens and xenoestrogens from using the receptors. As such, it is often considered as a first choice for those with either high estrogen levels or heavy exposure to xenoestrogens.
