Iodine

Many people are iodine deficient but iodine is very necessary for the thyroid gland as well as for blocking uptake of fluorides. The fact that water is fluoridated in so many areas means it is very hard to avoid this highly toxic chemical. There are, of course, food sources of iodine but there are also herbs and supplements that support the uptake of iodine.

Please be careful when consuming seafoods, both fish and seaweeds, as an iodine source since many may contain radioactive substances.
